Abbott is initiating a proactive, voluntary recall of certain lots of our 2 fl oz ready-to-feed liquid infant formula, including the following brands: Similac® Pro-Total Comfort,Similac®360 Total Care, Similac® 360 Total Care Sensitive, Similac® Special Care 24 and Pedialyte Electrolyte Solution. These products were manufactured at the company’s Columbus, Ohio manufacturing facility and distributed to some hospitals, doctor’s offices, distributors and retailers in the U.S.
Abbott is voluntarily initiating this recall because of a potential for compromised seal integrity in a small percentage of bottles in the recalled lots, which could result in product spoilage.
